ServiceNow CMDB / ITOM Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow CMDB & ITOM Developer/Consultant to design, implement, and manage configuration management and IT operations solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on building a robust CMDB, enabling service mapping, and implementing ITOM capabilities like discovery and event management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB structure, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

• Implement ITOM modules such as:

  • Discovery

  • Service Mapping

  • Event Management

  • Orchestration

• Configure and manage Configuration Items (CIs) and their relationships.

• Develop and maintain integrations with cloud platforms, servers, and network devices.

• Automate infrastructure monitoring and alerting processes.

• Ensure CMDB governance, data normalization, and reconciliation.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams for accurate asset mapping.

• Troubleshoot issues related to discovery patterns and integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• 3–6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development/administration.

• Strong experience with ServiceNow ITOM.

• Hands-on experience in:

  • CMDB design & data modeling

  • Discovery & Service Mapping

  • MID Server setup and configuration

• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and ServiceNow scripting.

• Understanding of infrastructure components (servers, networks, cloud).

• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Familiarity with ITIL best practices
