SAP Commerce Cloud Lead - Architect (Relevant 6 to 8 Years)

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic SAP Commerce Cloud Lead/Architect to drive the technical vision and implementation of our enterprise-level eCommerce solutions. This is a high-impact role requiring deep technical expertise in SAP Hybris and strong client-facing leadership skills.

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical resource with the client to gather business requirements, define solution architecture, and provide strategic technology leadership for SAP Commerce Cloud projects.

• Architect, design, and implement scalable and maintainable eCommerce solutions across B2B, B2C, and B2B2C models using SAP Commerce Cloud.

• Lead the development in frontend using spartacus and backend along with deployment of end-to-end SAP Commerce Cloud solutions, including integrations with SAP ERP, SAP CPI, SAP C4C, and third-party systems.

• Own the end-to-end architecture design process, ensuring solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance standards.

• Guide development teams in implementing best practices related to coding, testing (unit, integration, system), and documentation.

• Manage deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes to support continuous integration and delivery in cloud and on-premise environments.

• Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure stable and secure production environments.

• Define and enforce architecture standards, technical governance, and development methodologies across digital commerce initiatives.

• Provide hands-on support in resolving complex technical issues, including performance tuning, integration failures, and production incidents.

• Participate in code reviews, solution walkthroughs, and architecture reviews to ensure quality and alignment with business goals.

• Lead and mentor cross-functional technology teams across development, QA, operations, and support.

• Support and manage operational excellence, including incident management, root cause analysis, and service improvements in a 24/7 digital commerce environment.

• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and services, and make recommendations to support innovation and continuous improvement.

• Partner with analytics and reporting teams to enable tracking, monitoring, and optimization of customer journeys and application performance.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in architecting and implementing enterprise-level commerce solutions using SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris).

• Proven experience in client-facing roles, gathering business requirements, and translating them into technical solutions.

• Strong experience with SAP integrations including SAP ERP (ECC or S/4HANA), SAP CPI, and SAP C4C.

• Solid understanding of deployment strategies, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices.

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in Agile/Scrum environments with a focus on continuous delivery and operational excellence.

• Familiarity with observability tools, logging, and application performance monitoring frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of security best practices, regulatory compliance, and standards driven architecture.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills ability to effectively interact with business stakeholders, IT leadership, and development teams.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to drive resolution for complex technical issues.

• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular with Material UI) is a plus.

• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), incident management, and change management processes is highly desirable.
